When the Boat comes in is a traditional folk song from Northumberland , one version of which contains the line Thou shall hev a fishy on a little dishy, which I was reminded of when I saw this collection of objects at a friends house in Newcastle today.
Children in the house? Or the owner's just a bit eclectic? :)
ReplyDeleteI like the wooden die; haven't seen those in decades. The song sounds interesting too.
Hi Hilda; all those things; kind regards, Charles
