Swing Bridge repairs

Newcastle's Swing Bridge is undergoing some repairs to the decking on its West pier . The Swing Bridge has been in operation since 1876 and most of its working parts are original.

The Swing Bridge

The Swing Bridge  in Newcastle upon Tyne  was first used for road traffic on 15 June 1876 and opened for river traffic on 17 July 1876.
